Daddy G.O.(Pastor Adeboye) Fixes Abandoned 15km Road To Assist Osun State Government

Daddy G.O.(Pastor Adeboye) Fixes Abandoned 15km Road To Assist Osun State Government

Am exited to report this news as I got it from one of my channels, Long Live Papa.

To assist the Osun State Government in its effort towards construction of roads in the state, PASTOR E. A. ADEBOYE has fixed the abandoned road from the Palace of the King in Ile-Ife to the Palace of the King in Ifewara (his place of birth) few months ago.
The 15+ km road which was in a very deplorable state and not motorable during raining season has been neglected for a long time. This is probably because the users have been looked at as people of zero clout or voiceless in our society, as such farmers might have witnessed difficulties in getting their harvest to the potential buyers in urban areas.Read more after cut...

Alas! To ease the stress of commuters and road users plying this route and to further aid business activities in this community, Pastor Adeboye silently constructed this 15+ km road as one of his contributions towards development in that community.
According to a reliable source, during the construction of the road, the Prison in Ile-Ife pleaded with Pastor Adeboye to extend his arm of magnanimity to them by helping to fix their road which branches off the main road that was constructed but has been neglected by both State and Federal government.
He also visited and prayed for some of the community members nearby.
Making Nigeria great starts with you and I.

Protect Your Self Today:Nigerian Online Fraudsters & Scammers Getting very Sophisticated...

Nigerian Scammers Infect Themselves With Own Malware, Revealing New Wire-Wire Fraud Scheme:

Few weeks ago, the EFCC made some interesting arrests across the country and this is kudos to them, but the arrest made is small in the pool of the myriads of sophisticated cyber intrusions being perpetrated by cyber criminals sitting in their various homes and or school trying to gain access to companies and individuals hard earn money via their various transaction and accounts.

Over a week ago, the EFCC made an arrest of a Nigerian to have been involved in a $60m, online fraud, this is huge and damning to our already dented image in this area globally, the article am sharing with you all today chronicles how top level Nigerian Scammers, fraudsters, mistakenly reveal how they use to commit their fraudulent activities, and from it you can learn some few steps on how to keep yourself and yours safe from their voracious and deceptive attacks.

When you receive suspicious email with something like, click the link below to activate or do something, or here is the TT money transfer whatever, or your dhl shipment detail, don't be in a hurry to click or open, copy the link and or safely download the attachment (Make sure you have your antivirus properly in place, if you can't buy one due to dollar/Naira war, Microsoft Security essential, now Microsoft defender is very good and free), and paste such a link or file downloaded into (https://www.virustotal.com/), VirusTotal is a free service that analyzes suspicious files and URLs and facilitates the quick detection of viruses, worms, trojans, and all kinds of malware. More on VirusTotal Later.

I do hope this article will be of tremendous help to many. Have you been a victim of  any form of online fraud before, feel free to send me your experience and lets have your comments, it might save someone somewhere. Post your comments on my blog at innovate (eyajuda.blogspot.com). Happy reading:

A pair of security researchers recently uncovered a Nigerian scammer ring that they say operates a new kind of attack called “wire-wire” after a few of its members accidentally infected themselves with their own malware. Over the past several months, they’ve watched from a virtual front row seat as members used this technique to steal hundreds of thousands of dollars from small and medium-sized businesses worldwide.

“We've gotten unprecedented insight into the very nitty-gritty mechanics of their entire operation,” says James Bettke, a researcher at SecureWorks, a subsidiary of Dell Inc. focused on cybersecurity. Bettke and Joe Stewart, who directs malware research for SecureWorks, are presenting the details of their findings this week at the annual Black Hat security conference in Las Vegas.

This new type of attack is a twist on an old favorite. For years, rings of scammers in West Africa have stolen money from companies through a technique known as "Business Email Compromise," or BEC, in which they use internal corporate email accounts to execute fraudulent financial transactions. Or, in another approach known as “spoofing,” scammers have impersonated a CEO’s email from an external account to persuade an employee to send a wire transfer to their own bank account.

The SecureWorks experts say wire-wire, which is how criminals refer to the new type of attack, represents a more sophisticated approach to BEC that is harder to detect. Bettke and Stewart discovered the ring in February when five of the scammers self-infected their own computers with the same malware they were using to steal from others. Such errors are a surprisingly common way for security researchers to get an inside look at scammers’ operations.

For months, the malware automatically loaded screenshots and keystrokes from compromised computers to an open web database. One of the infected scammers also frequently trained new scammers, which revealed even more details about their techniques. The SecureWorks team initially found the database by using the virus scanning tool VirusTotal to search for suspicious email attachments.

The wire-wire scammers begin by using a simple marketing tool to scrape the email addresses of businesses and employees from corporate websites. Then, they blast these addresses with messages containing keylogger software or other malware in a process called “bombing.” Employees who click on a malicious link or open an infected attachment might be prompted to log in, providing scammers with the password to their email accounts.

Once they’re in, the scammers allow the employee to continue with business as usual and discreetly monitor the account for potential financial transactions. As soon as they see that the employee is sending an invoice to a customer, they reroute it through their own email account and physically alter the account number and routing number before forwarding it on to the customer. The email address they use is often very similar to the original email address, so it’s easy to miss. Unlike spoofing, BEC techniques such as wire-wire rely on earning internal account access rather than externally impersonating a company account.

Since February, the SecureWorks team has witnessed the thieves deploy this method to reroute transactions averaging between US $30,000 and $60,000 from mostly small and medium-sized businesses making international deals. In one case, the attackers rerouted a $400,000 payment from a U.S. chemical company to its Indian supplier.

Bettke and Stewart estimate the group they studied has at least 30 members and is likely earning a total of about $3 million a year from the thefts. The scammers appear to be "family men" in their late 20s to 40s who are well-respected, church-going figures in their communities. “They're increasing the economic potential of the region they're living in by doing this, and I think they feel somewhat of a duty to do this,” Stewart says.

After the fact, it can take awhile before the customer and seller realize they’ve been scammed—often, neither buyer or seller realizes that something is amiss until the shipment or payment is overdue. Given their vantage point, Stewart and Bettke have tried to alert some businesses to the scam before the fraudulent transactions are complete, but they sometimes have a hard time persuading employees that they aren’t scammers themselves.

The SecureWorks team has notified Nigeria’s Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and their description of wire-wire scamming has led to at least one active investigation. They say the easiest way for business owners to prevent such attacks is to require two-step verification for employee logins. Stewart and Bettke have also uploaded a program to GitHub that detects digital artifacts that remain on an altered invoice to tip employees off to suspicious activity.

Scholarships for global leaders of the 21st century.

Am doing this post because of the shortness of time really, for people who meet the criteria, but not me..(lol), and before the door closes. I got this reliable info from one of my bosses, the big boss himself "Strive Masiyiwa", and want to quickly post it, please re-circulate and let it get to someone who might qualify it.

Great news!
For the second year now, I’m excited to tell you about a scholarship program for young people to get a Master’s degree in Global Affairs from one of China’s top universities. If you’re selected, this could really be the chance of a lifetime!
Not only will you expand your learning, but you’ll also share the experience of studying for a year in China with other young leaders from around the world.
If you follow world news – as you should – you’ll know how important this opportunity is for you to take part in and shape trends of the 21st century. If you’re looking to be counted as a global leader, this is one excellent opportunity to prepare yourself!
Last year I joined a group of international donors that support the Schwarzman Scholars program, which each year will select up to 200 talented young people to spend one year living, working and studying together at Schwarzman College at Tsinghua University. This $450m scholarship program was started last year by Stephen Schwarzman, the founder of Blackstone, one of the biggest financial organizations in the world.
Courses will be taught in English and students will study under the tutorship of some of China's leading academics, top academics from other parts of the world, along with business and political leaders, all in a Chinese environment.

The Schwarzman Scholars curriculum was developed in collaboration with academic leaders from Tsinghua, Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Stanford, Oxford, Duke – all these are top universities in the world.

Last year, 111 young people from around the world were the very first group to be offered Schwarzman Scholarships. The inaugural class included successful applicants from Cameroon, Ghana, Kenya, Tanzania, and Zimbabwe!
# The submission deadline is coming up soon, on 15 September, but there’s still plenty of time for you to apply if you’re eligible and interested in getting a Master’s degree in Global Affairs.
# This scholarship is fully funded and includes tuition, room and board, international airfare, an in-country study tour, books and supplies, a laptop and smart phone, health insurance and a modest personal stipend.

# To apply, you must have an undergraduate degree (can be in any field) and be between the ages of 18 and not yet reached 29 years of age by August 2017.

If you meet the rigorous requirements and are selected, it could be YOU heading to China to study for a year! It's not enough for you to have excellent grades, though. You need to clearly show your commitment to leading on the global stage. If you don’t have perfect marks, your outstanding contributions in other areas could be the reason you win the scholarship:

# Do you have demonstrated experience in leadership roles on campus, in your communities, your workplace or in other organizations?
# Do you have a demonstrated interest in expanding your educational horizons?

# Can you articulate a clear vision of how and why a year as a Schwarzman Scholar in China will help advance your personal goals (and beyond)?

If this is not for you, perhaps you know of other brilliant young people with leadership experience and potential who you think should apply? Please share this information with them as soon as possible, as the application deadline is 15 September.

I really hope the African continent will be well represented in the next class of Schwarzman Scholars. If I was the age of many of you reading this post, I would apply for this opportunity right away!
The end.
